Privacy Policy
At MouseTestPro, we believe diagnostic utilities should respect your privacy. Our core architectural design guarantees that your hardware interactions never leave your browser.
1. Zero Personal Telemetry & Client-Side Execution
MouseTestPro operates exclusively as a client-side web application. All sensor polling frequency calculations, switch debounce timings, keyboard keystroke events, and mouse coordinate tracking are executed in real time within your local browser runtime.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or record:
- Names, email addresses, IP addresses, or personal identifiers.
- Keystrokes, typing content, or keyboard matrices tested on
/keyboard-tester. - Pointer coordinates, clicks, or movement trajectories.
- Diagnostic log exports (all `.txt`, `.csv`, and `.json` files are generated locally via browser Blob memory).
2. Local Storage & Preferences
We utilize standard HTML5 LocalStorage solely to persist your local user interface preferences across sessions. This includes:
- Theme Mode: Saving your preference for Light Mode or Dark Mode (
themekey). - Local Presets: Retaining active test preferences (e.g. selected debounce thresholds or DPI calibration distances) on your device.
This data remains stored locally on your machine and is never transmitted to any external server.
3. Third-Party Advertising & Cookies Disclosure
MouseTestPro may partner with third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense, to support operational costs and ongoing development:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the Internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to MouseTestPro and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or by visiting aboutads.info.
4. California (CCPA/CPRA) & US State Privacy Rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have specific rights regarding personal information. Because MouseTestPro does not collect or store personal data, we do not sell, rent, or share personal consumer information with third parties.
Zero personal data is tracked or monetized. If you have questions regarding state privacy compliance, our architecture ensures total client-side isolation by default.
5. External Links
Our diagnostic suite may contain links to external websites (such as GitHub, official peripheral documentation, or community databases). We have no control over the privacy policies or practices of third-party websites and encourage you to review their respective privacy notices.
6. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect technological updates or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly to this page with an updated revision date.
