1. Client-Side Diagnostics & Input Privacy

MouseTestPro is engineered as a client-side web application. All diagnostic calculations—including switch debounce timers, USB polling rate measurements, DPI motion tracking, and keyboard matrix tests—are executed in real time within your local browser runtime.

We do not collect, store, or transmit your peripheral testing data to our servers:

• We do not record or transmit your keystrokes or typing inputs tested on /keyboard-tester/.
• We do not log or transmit your mouse clicks, cursor coordinates, or movement trajectories.
• Diagnostic reports and export files (e.g. PDF, CSV, JSON, PNG) are generated purely in your browser's local memory (Blob API) and downloaded directly to your device without passing through our servers.

2. Local Storage & User Preferences

We utilize standard HTML5 LocalStorage solely to persist your local user interface preferences across sessions. This includes:

• Theme Mode: Saving your preference for Light Mode or Dark Mode (theme key).
• Local Presets: Retaining active test preferences (such as debounce thresholds or DPI distance calibration) on your device.

This preference data remains stored locally on your machine and is never transmitted to any external server.

3. Analytics & Aggregate Traffic Metrics

To evaluate website performance, monitor server capacity, and optimize user experience, MouseTestPro uses Google Analytics (GA4) to collect aggregated, anonymized, and non-personally identifiable site traffic metrics.

These analytics collect general usage information such as page views, referral sources, approximate geographic region (country/city level), browser type, and operating system. Analytics scripts do not have access to or record your raw peripheral inputs, keystrokes, or diagnostic benchmarks.

4. Third-Party Advertising & Cookies Disclosure

MouseTestPro partners with third-party advertising networks, specifically Google AdSense, to support hosting infrastructure and ongoing tool development:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this website or other websites across the Internet.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve relevant ads to users based on their visits to MouseTestPro and other sites.
• EEA, UK & Swiss Privacy: For visitors in the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland, advertising consent is managed in accordance with Google publisher requirements and certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) standards for personalized and non-personalized ads.
• Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or by visiting aboutads.info.

5. California (CCPA/CPRA) & Global Privacy Rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and European GDPR regulations, users have rights regarding their personal information. Because MouseTestPro does not collect, retain, or profile personal identification data, we do not sell, rent, or share personal consumer information.

All peripheral diagnostic operations remain sandboxed within client-side browser memory by architectural design.

6. External Links & Third-Party Resources

Our diagnostic suite and documentation may contain links to external websites (such as W3C specifications, GitHub repositories, or hardware manufacturer references). We have no control over the content or privacy policies of external sites and encourage you to review their respective privacy notices.
